Your garbage, from another point of view- Interamericano is not clean
By Marisabel Soto
Pile of garbage at the football field.
On September 1, 2009 the school journalism class interviewed the janitors, revealing their point of view concerning their job. Their voice must be heard.
Even though there are about 60 trashcans in the school, students keep putting their garbage on the floor and in the wrong garbage can. “Yes, it would help if more students recycle their garbage,” the janitor from the football field Estuardo “at first they wanted us to do it, but it takes a lot of time.”
The janitor’s job takes a lot of their time at the school; normally they will come at 4am and leave at 5pm. They are making a difference i the school, and all they can say when they see garbage on the floor is; “It should be picked up.”
Most of the janitors have spent two years working for the school. Even in a short amount of time they can still say, “garbage has increased since the last couple of years.” Students are not aware how much effort do the janitors put on their job. So lets hug a tree and help them. Not only to them but to the school that represent us.
Like Michael Jackson said; “If you care enough for the living Make a better place for You and for me.”
