Family day was a total hit! Everyone worked hard for it to be a success, especially seniors. Seminario groups did various fun activities that made this day even greater!

In order to graduate, seniors have to develop a community service project that promotes social development in rural areas. For this activity to take place they have to raise funds, since it takes approximately Q23,000.00 to complete the project. Family day was the perfect day to raise these funds, all seminario groups worked very hard in order to make their activity a success.

One of the most popular activities was the Grinch’s Cave, in which kids had to complete certain tasks and the winning team would receive a prize. Section "A" was responsible for this activity and it was certainly a hit. “We never imagined that this activity was going to be so successful, our hard work really paid off”, commented a seminario student, “Our section also made a raffle and it was another success, we have almost reached our goal for the funds”.

Another of the most popular activities was the “Decorate your Own Cookie” stand, the Homo sapiens seminario was in charge of this activity. Many people, young and old, were all over the stand decorating cookies which according to many were “delicious”.  Alessandra Madrid said that the seminario group was very happy because they raised many funds, and raised even more when they sold cookies at recess and lunch time.

Other activities included a wedding chapel, an art studio, shaving cream pies, a jail and a car wash. All activities raised many funds; this showed seniors how hard work really pays off.
